Another McCall's Bias Cut Blouse - McCall's 7125
Another attempt of getting outside of my comfort zone.
Which requires an enhancement in my self-confidence and boldness, even if I have to fake it 'til I make it!

Faux Locs & Faux Fur Vest - McCalls 7695

McCall's Pattern M7695 worked nicely with this faux fur remnant I found at Joann Fabrics. I decided to have some fun and make this vest instead of a throw pillow...the original intent of the purchase.

Patterns for Pirates Cocoon Cardigan in a Sweater Knit
Okay maybe not TOO big, which this cardigan is borderline now. But I made this about 30 pounds ago. And I still plan on rocking it during the unpredictable fall/winter months of the south.

Throwback Thursday
Nothing Like a Good Throwback Thursday!
I love this shirt. It
is still the reigning champion of being my favorite shirt. The fit, the fabric. It’s so comfortable, so colorful, and I love
how I feel in it. This blouse was debuted
in a post a few years ago. But today, I
decided to pair it with a colorful denim jean, which is outside of my comfort
zone. And I have to admit, that I’m
happy to have taken that step.
Here’s to
throwbacks!

Simple Additions
Sometimes you just want a simple addition to your wardrobe. Maybe something to wear to church. Or a brunch date with the girls. I’ve made a dress in a very similar fashion before here. I used one pattern piece to create it. The back pattern piece to McCall's 6563. I slashed-and-spread the front for more room, but this dress was essentially made with one piece. The khaki cover was a remake of this post. Together, I now have a simple addition to my wardrobe that is comfortable and easy to accessorize.
