Simplicity 2981 | Wrap Dress w/ Godets | Minerva Alise Stretch Crepe
Once upon a time, I had a faux wrap dress that I absolutely loved and adored. I made it in my earlier days of sewing and I weighed my heaviest. I was about 350 pounds in the photo. So when I lost a significant amount of weight, me and my favorite red dress had to part ways. It was a difficult decision but I hate altering. And the skirt of this dress is made up of godets. Godets are triangular pieces of fabrics that are sewn into the skirt to create flare and movement. These numerous godets is why I was unwilling to alter my favorite red dress.
But now, I have a new one! I have more photos and details on how I created this stunning dress on Minerva's blog! Check it out here!
