Another McCall's Bias Cut Blouse - McCall's 7125

Another attempt of getting outside of my comfort zone.
Which requires an enhancement in my self-confidence and boldness, even if I have to fake it 'til I make it!

Pattern: McCalls 7125
Fabric: Joann Fabrics (leftover fabric after making this dress)

In order to create something flirty and sexy, I used the overlay pattern piece of View B to cut out the sheer black mesh.  I also used the lines of this pattern piece to cut away the main fabric of the blouse front, so my skin would be exposed under the mesh.  The neckline was finished with bias made from the same fabric.  What do you think?!

Someone asked if I purposely designed this top to match the background.  LOL! I wish I was that clever!  This photo was taken during my recent trip to Bali.  This is the doorway to the villa I stayed in.  But I actually made this top a couple of years ago and wore it for the first time in Miami (below).

I've used this same pattern to create a more casual top during my Shades of Pink October.

I thought it would be a great way of showing the versatility of a pattern.  The envelope displays a very casual blouse but with the right material, you can, as the young folks say, slay!

So let me go find Beyonce so I can get in Formation!  See you guys!
